For all dental treatments, clean and sterile equipment, advanced machines, and qualified, university-educated practitioners are required, along with continuing education and training to ensure that patients receive modern and safe treatment at all times. This means that safe dental treatment of good quality comes at a cost. Blid aims to make prices and treatments as straightforward as possible for you to understand.
Therefore, we have fixed prices for most of our services, inform you of the cost of the treatment you need, and charge no additional fees. Additionally, we always assess during an examination when it is advisable for you to return for your next check-up. This is to prevent treatment needs from becoming greater—and more expensive—by waiting too long.
There can be variations in the costs of different treatments, which may seem similar to you as a patient. For example, there may be differences in the cost of a small filling versus a large filling, or whether a tooth extraction is simple or complex. For you as a patient, it can be difficult to know in advance which treatment you need. Therefore, at Blid, we always conduct an examination beforehand so that the dentist can assess and inform you about the treatment you need—and what it will cost. For larger treatments where the total cost exceeds 5000 NOK, you will always receive a cost estimate.
To make it simple and safe for you, we at Blid have chosen to remove all additional fees. With us, you receive the necessary anesthesia, and all equipment is, of course, completely clean and sterilized—without you having to pay anything extra for it. This helps both us and you keep track of the costs.
It is also important to be aware of what a standard examination includes when booking it. With us, a "check-up and cleaning" includes general diagnostics through, among other things, individual X-rays, mapping and planning of any treatment needs, removal of tartar, and cleaning with AirFlow.
During a dental check-up with a dentist or dental hygienist, we will always provide a recommendation on when you should return for your next visit. By regularly examining your teeth and mouth, we can identify any early signs of potential issues and offer guidance for optimal oral health. Skipping the recommended check-up may result in an increased need for treatment later on (and at a higher cost). Don’t wait until you’re in pain to see a dentist!
