Tooth extraction at Blid

Tooth extraction is necessary when a tooth cannot be saved, for example, due to root infection or untreated decay.

X-rays, anesthesia, and hygiene materials are included. We believe tooth extraction should be a last resort and recommend trying to save your natural teeth whenever possible. If the tooth can no longer be repaired or you prefer to have it removed, tooth extraction is an option.  

Tooth extraction includes:  
- X-rays as needed  
- Anesthesia as needed  
- Follow-up after tooth removal  
- Removal of stitches if necessary  
- Hygiene materials

Sometimes a tooth must be extracted to prevent infection and pain. Other times, a tooth may be removed as part of orthodontic treatment.  

Before and after a tooth extraction, certain precautions should be taken: eat well before your appointment, and after the tooth is removed, it’s crucial not to eat or drink for 2-3 hours. After extraction, swelling in the area is common, and some may experience pain and slight bleeding. We will provide you with a bite compression and pain relief tablets to help stop any bleeding.
